SGTB Khalsa College


Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. Established in 1951, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutes for Commerce and Economics in India and regularly features in the top commerce college rankings with B.Com(Hons) and Eco(Hons) being the most sought after courses. Last year's college cutoff touched 97.5% for these courses.
It is located on the North campus of the university, in New Delhi, India. The college offers courses in sciences, commerce and the arts. The college is amongst the best colleges in Delhi University and its faculty is well regarded throughout the country.The college premises also bear a gurudwara. Students and alumni of the college are termed as Khalsaites.
==History ==

Khalsa College is a constituent of the University of Delhi. It was established in 1951 as a co-educational institution by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. The college began in four rooms in a school in Dev Nagar with 49 students and a faculty of 6. It moved to its present location in 1973.
The college is named after the 9th Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur.
